3. Refining & Pricing with Transparency

We work closely with your architect or draftsperson or recommend one of our trusted partners to refine your design into a build-ready plan. Every detail is considered: ceiling heights, window placements, storage solutions, cladding options, and more.

At the same time we prepare a clear, itemised quote. No vague allowances, no hidden extras - just a transparent breakdown of what’s included, from foundations to finishes. We’ll also outline realistic allowances for selections you haven’t made yet (like tiles or tapware), so you can plan ahead without guesswork.

This stage is about turning ideas into certainty. You’ll know exactly what’s involved, how much it will cost, and how long it will take.

4. Contracts & the Halo Guarantee

When you’re ready, we formalise everything with a New Zealand Certified Builders (NZCB) contract. This sets out the scope of work, payment stages, and timelines in plain language, so you know exactly what to expect.

As part of being an NZCB member, we also offer the Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee. This is one of the strongest homeowner protections available in New Zealand. It covers you for workmanship, materials, and structural integrity, and even protects your deposit if the unexpected happens. It’s independently managed and fully transferable if you sell your home.

Your home is professionally cleaned inside and out, and we’ll walk you through everything with your site supervisor. You’ll also receive a comprehensive close-out kit, including warranties, manuals, and maintenance guidelines.

And because our relationship doesn’t end at handover, we check in with you at 3, 6, and 9 months after you move in. If anything needs attention, we’ll sort it quickly. No fuss, no chasing. Our team is always just a phone call away.
